Anse Citron

Anse Citron is a small beach which is often remains deserted, located in the south-west of the second largest island of Seychelles, Praslin. It is along the coast from more popular and larger beaches like Fond de I’Anse and Anse Takamaka.

The water surface is unique here, though it is extremely shallow, making safe for children, swimming is impossible here. While the cam and quiet atmosphere of the beach is attractive, well suited for enjoying picnics or relaxing on the sand.

It is advised not to swim here because the water is too shallow here. The beach is breathtaking at sunset time, the beautiful surroundings along with water and sunset make a perfect location for photography.

As it is less visited by the tourists, so families can enjoy picnic far from the crowd and relax over the beach or under the shade. Couples can also have a great time to spend while strolling on the Anse Citron itself.

On the other hand, getting to the beach can be a little bit challenging as there is no bus stop nearby and limited parking. But, it isn’t too far from the nearby accommodations, so guests of these accommodations can stroll over the beach.

There is one old house, which is inhabited by the man who has a vegetable garden and uses the Gris-Gris talismans that are a relic of the Seychelles history.

Fisrt Fly to international airport on Mahe then fly into Praslin Airport (taxi/bus 30 mins to Grand Anse, then short drive/walk to the beach).

By Boat
