Anse Gaulettes, a beautiful beach situated in the northern part of La Digue, is comprised of long but narrow strips of sand that stands between the road and the ocean.

Remain empty most of the time, but it is well-suited for sunbathing. The water is not deep here and at high tide, the beach is hardly visible, even underwater currents turn strong. All these conditions are unsafe for swimming or snorkeling.

While, at the south end of the Anse Gaulettes, there lies an art gallery and as move further, there is a small snack bar at Anse Grosse Roche. This makes visitors spend their entire day in the area if they wish.

Getting to the beach isn’t difficult, tourists can access here on-foot, bicycle or car. There is a coastal road that runs along to the beach, plenty of space to manage to park. But it becomes interesting and joyful if make accessible by bicycle.

Moreover, the beach offers the view of the four nearby islands- Petite, Grande Soeur, Felicité, and Mariane. Whereas the beach lies near some of the hotels, it is in between the two interesting beaches Anse Patates and Anse Grosse Roche.
