Anse aux Cèdres
The Anse aux Cèdres is a unique beach, located in the south of the La Digue. It is just a 30 minutes distance from the Anse Union by foot.
The beach has very few visitors and it doesn’t serve any rental activities for its visitors. There are many coral reefs along with large rocks and high waves, which is not safe for swimming and other activities. People just visit here to have a leisurely walk to enjoy the surroundings.
But the small bay has a beautiful scenic view which makes a good location for photography. It is the mixture of tall waves, granite rocks, coral reefs and the sea shells present on the sand. Together the things offer a great opportunity for photographers to the interplay between the sand, ocean and the granite rocks.
Visitors have to pay an entrance fee if wishing to enter the estate on foot, which is about 100 Seychelles Rupees per head. Most of the visitors discover the beach by the guides which can be a part of the tour.
Swimming and snorkeling are not possible here at the Anse aux Cèdres, because the water is deep and choppy waves. Water droplets may witness on the pines of the cedars early in the morning, looks mesmerizing.

How to Reach Anse aux Cèdres
It is basically situated 1.5 km south in between the Anse aux Cèdres and Anse Marron, so it has to be reached on foot crossing the wet, slippery granite rocks.
Fly into Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) on Mahé island. From there, connect via a quick flight or ferry to La Digue.
An easy drive from Grand Anse (15 mins) or Côte d’Or (20 mins). Parking is limited near the beach, so consider walking from nearby resorts. Public transport is also available.
Take a ferry from Mahé to Praslin (1 hour), then a water taxi or boat charter to Anse aux Cèdres. You can also kayak or paddleboard from nearby beaches for a more active arrival.
