Anse Bois de Rose is a small and inaccessible beach that is located in the south of Praslin. It is situated in the larger bay which shares the same name. Basically, the beach often remains empty and so deserted.
The atmosphere of the beach is quite calm and pleasant that awaits for the person to reach the beach, but it is quite difficult to get there on the Anse Bois de Rose because of a number of reasons.
While the bus also stops nearby, but, you have to climb down to reach the actual beach itself, and it is quite hard to do this. Also, there is a private property that lines other areas to reach the beach that is another obstacle. This is the reason, the beach is almost always deserted.
If anyone accesses the beach by luck, then it is a beautiful little bay that has beautiful scenery and a great spot to relax. The beach also has good conditions for snorkeling and the offshore coral reef protects it from the open ocean.
Anse Bois Rose offers small things to those who manage to reach there, otherwise, it would be better to look at other beaches to enjoy. The beach is also perfect for the photography along with the calm, quiet atmosphere and amazing backdrop-off turquoise water.

How to Reach Anse Bois de Rose
Nestled along Praslin’s southwestern coast, Anse Bois de Rose is simple to reach by road or boat. Visitors can enjoy a hassle-free journey to this tranquil beach, surrounded by lush greenery and calm waters.
First Fly to international airport on Mahe then fly into Praslin Airport (taxi/bus 30 mins to Grand Anse, then walk/short drive/hike to beach). Helicopter tours offer breathtaking views and a dramatic landing nearby.
Follow signs south from Grand Anse for 15-20 minutes. Limited parking near the bus stop. Challenge: Access requires a short, steep climb down from the road (not ideal for luggage or mobility issues).
Limited access – consider private charters from Grand Anse or Côte d’Or jetty. Kayak or paddleboard from neighboring beaches like Grand Anse for an active arrival (beware currents).
