Generally, all the people who access to the beach come with a tour guide, whereas, most of the time it remains almost empty. While the easiest way to access the beach is from the south, through Anse Cocos. A path of 40 minutes that takes visitors to the Anse Caïman, it is a safer and easier way to access the beach.
Though there is shallow water, it is not safe for swimming because it is deep in some places. While the seawater creates a perfect condition for snorkeling. The lined water pools over the sand are interesting, that provide a good opportunity for photography.
Overall, the Anse Caïman is far from the most popular beach, that puts some visitors off due to the difficulty in access. While on the other side, people who are feeling adventurous could find several interesting things here to make them worth visiting.

How to Reach Anse Caïman
Anse Caïman is only accessible by hiking from Grand Anse or Anse Cocos. The trail can be challenging, with steep and rocky sections, so it’s best suited for experienced hikers.
Fly into Praslin Airport (taxi/bus 30 mins to La Digue ferry, then a short ferry ride to Grand Anse). Helicopter tours offer stunning views and a thrilling landing near La Digue (luxury option).
Not reachable directly by road. Prepare for an adventure! From Grand Anse village, follow signs for “Union Estate” (15-20 mins). Navigate well-marked paths through the estate towards Anse Fourmis.
Limited access due to shallow waters and surrounding rocks. Consider private charters from Grand Anse or Côte d’Or jetty. Explore neighboring beaches by boat.
