Anse Intendance
Anse Intendance is located in the south of the large island Mahé in Seychelles. It is a well-known wild beach comprises of breathtaking white sand framed with incredible granite formations. Anse Intendance is listed among the most beautiful spots on the island or maybe in the whole world.
It is a fine white sandy beach having a vegetated mountain in the background which is not less than a scenic view. The turquoise water and the magnificent granite formation give a picturesque background to the beach.
There are no coral reefs to protect the beach from the open ocean and the waves are too wild here making the beach unsafe for swimming for some of the people.
The water is quite deep, so the locals often enjoy surfing the bay, because the conditions are perfect for the surfboards as well as bodyboards.
Despite the beach is also excellent for sunbathing and relaxing under the shade of palm trees. There are also coconuts trees so make sure to watch out for falling coconuts which can be dangerous.
Anse Intendance is one of the most beautiful beaches in Seychelles and compares favorable worldwide. Though it is not possible to swim here the beach offers many adventurous activities and everything that you expect.
The beach is an interesting location for a romantic picnic on beautiful white sand and an amazing place to enjoy with family and friends. There is a small beach bar which provides visitors a few snacks and some cold drinks to keep you busy on the beach.
Best Time To Visit
- Sunshine & swimming: Aim for the dry season (May-Oct) for calm seas, warm sun, and comfortable dips. Great for sunbathers too!
- Surfing thrills: Catch the best waves during the southeast monsoon (April-May & Nov-Mar). Be aware of stronger currents during this time.
- Fewer crowds: Enjoy some peace and quiet in the shoulder seasons (April-May & Oct-Nov), but expect slightly cooler temps.
