Anse Source d’Argent

Anse Source d’Argent is a popular and busy beach, located in the south west of La Digue and often described as the most beautiful beach in the world, certainly the most famous attraction of Seychelles. This beautiful beach comprises of the beautiful turquoise water, stunning golden sand and the impressive and unique formations of the large boulders.

Despite its amazing beauty, it also offers several activities to keep engaging its visitors like swimming and snorkeling as well as can be a great spot to enjoy picnics for families. Shallow and clear water along with the protection by a coral reef ensures that the beach is safe for swimming and snorkeling. However, it can be difficult to swim during low tide because the water gets extremely shallow.

There is the only way to get on Anse Source d’Argent via Union Estate and visitors has to pay entrance amount of rupees 115 per head. Besides this, the access to the beach is easy, as certain signposted paths are available.

Moreover, as the beach is protected by the coral reef that means it is also safe for the children and less confident swimmers. Some nearby restaurants, fruit stands to ensure spending the whole day here without going far.

Anse Source d’Argent is rather famous for some prominent photoshoots and film shooting like Emmanuelle, Crusoe, Castaway and Bacardi adverts. It is really a must visit spot for any Seychelles holiday makers and on that the impressive granite formations with a shallow, calm and beautiful sand surface makes a treat which is memorable.
