Baie Ternay

Baie Ternay is a mid-sized beach on the west coast of Seychelles largest island Mahé. The beach is famous for its sunset views and the biodiversity here is another highlight. Although, the views here stretched over the beautiful ocean and across to Silhouette Island.

Shallow water and protected making the beach safe for families and less confident swimmers. On the other hand, the drop-off is not so close to the shore, may around 300m out. But, the drop is sharp, so, anyone swimming far from the shore must be careful to harm yourself.

Moreover, the bay is a part of the Baie Ternay National Park that offers beautiful beaches and stunning scenery. It is particularly popular among the snorkelers and scuba divers due to the calm ocean surface, whereas, fishing is also possible to try out by the visitors.

The beach is so colorful which is ideal for photography with the mesmerizing view of the sunset in the evening along with Silhouette Island to the north-west.

Getting to the Baie Ternay is not so difficult, there is no parking on bus facility near the beach. People should have to reach on foot that is just 5 minutes away.

Although, it is often deserted, thanks to the beautiful scenery. It remains often empty, but people those who want a quiet, scenic day at the beach.
